APRA-IN
Summer Luncheon
July 18, 2003
The 2003 Luncheon was held at the
Scottish Rite in Indianapolis. For a group our size, it was a
perfect fit! Our speaker was Carol Tilley, Lecturer and
Coordinator of Distance Education, Ph.D. Candidate, Indiana
University School of Library and Information Science Indianapolis (IUPUI).
As most of us can attest to the overwhelming trend to move to
internet applications and databases, we seem to forget about a great
deal of resources that are available to us right at our fingertips
at our local libraries. The presentation focused on some of
the forgotten "old fashioned" resources not available on
the Internet. While it was a brush up for some who remember
when not everything could be found on the internet (like less than
10 years ago!), for others it was full of ideas of where to go for
information that no one has bothered to collect for the online
audience or when the servers are down...
