Ok, so our Executive Director of Development has given me the ever so wonderful task of discerning how much money has been given in Indiana by foundations of all types in 2006 (or the most recent data). Does anyone even know where to start on a request like this. I've searched Foundation Directory, Grantstar, CASE, NCCs, and Indiana Grantmakers, but I'm coming up dry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at the IU Center on Philanthropy website? They can sometimes have some useful research studies that can help you with odd tasks like this:

I know there is a 2004 study, but I'm not sure about 2006. It may simply be too soon for anyone to have compiled that information. |

| I was able to track down a list of the top 50 from the Foundation Center, but that's the best I've come by so far. Though it's definitely better than nothing. |
