AFTERNOON PROGRAM
Turning Big Ones into Little Ones:
Market Segmentation and its role in fundraising (Program Part
Two
Market
research has long been a hallmark in the for-profit world, but
is still met with suspicion by much of the fundraising
community. However, used in conjunction with traditional
methods of
prospect identification, market segmentation approaches can
efficiently discover groups of constituents that are measurably
better prospects for a range of initiatives. Using a series of
case studies, this session will introduce participants to uses
for demographic data, past giving patterns, PRIZM clusters and
other information useful for segmentation. Focused on delivering
results, the session will provide guidance for implementing your
findings directly into major and annual giving programs.
